Make Industry 4.0 Easy with Asset Administration Shells and Eclipse BaSyx

Set up the complete asset administration shell environment with just one mouse click - from AAS infrastructure to data integration and AAS GUI
Project partners involved

Problem:

  • Asset Administration Shells enable interoperable implementation of Industry 4.0
  • However, standard-compliant implementation of the VWS environment is time-consuming
  • Data integration with VWS must be implemented effort-intensively

Solution approach:

  • Provision of easy-to-use off-the-shelf components through Eclipse BaSyx.
  • Easy configuration of infrastructure and data integration - without any programming knowledge
  • Provision of an easily extensible AAS GUI with a versatile plug-in mechanism
  • The complete AAS environment can be set up in an integrated way with just one mouse click

Functions

Setup of the AAS environment with just one mouse click

Versatile configuration options of off-the-shelf components

Complete configuration of data integration without programming knowledge

Direct data integration from a variety of protocols

Distributed deployment of submodels

Many additional features like eventing with MQTT

Full support of RBAC-based security

Easy extensibility of the AAS GUI via a plug-in mechanism

Available as open source
